The Core of The Montessori Method

Dr. Maria Montessori’s first research and writing was related to the 3-6 year old child and the core of her child-centred methodology can be found in the study of this fascinating age group.

In-depth Montessori theory, practical materials, and practicum relating to the child 3-6 (and 0-6) years. Learn how to apply Montessori principles for 3-6 year olds in a Montessori centre and in everyday life. Includes comprehensive training on use and creation of age-appropriate Montessori materials. 

3-6 Diploma Course Content

(All 4 modules required):

Practical Module 3-6A:

Two onsite workshops*, totalling 6 + 3 days in one year

 

Assignments include creation of Montessori albums and materials 

 

Module A runs in odd-numbered years (2021, 2023, 2025, etc.)

 

Subjects include practical life, sensorial education, and mathematics

Practical Module 3-6B:

Two onsite workshops*, totalling 6 + 3 days in one year

 

Assignments include creation of Montessori albums and materials

 

Runs in even-numbered years (2022, 2024, 2026, etc.) 

 

Subjects include practical creative skills, culture, and language

 

Theory Module:

Core Montessori theory plus theory relating to children 0-6 years

400 hours Montessori internship in your own area

*Practical modules can be taken in any order. Bi-annual materials workshops are held in Oslo, Norway but there are often workshops in other countries. Contact us for information on other workshop locations.
