From the 16th to the 21st of October 2023 Sarah and I, Aleksandra, participated in the first meeting and training for our next Erasmus+ project ACAδIMIA – The European Teacher’s Academy for Creative and Inclusive Learning.
The overall objective of this action is to create European partnership of teacher education and training providers to set up Erasmus+ Teacher Academies that will embrace multilingualism, language awareness, and cultural diversity.
ACAδIMIA incorporates our earlier Erasmus+ projects – SEDIN and MONTECH – together with other innovative methods, such as Drama in Education, Game Based Learning, Digital Storytelling, Talent Maker, and more.

In ACAδIMIA we happily join forces with European universities, and educational and cultural institutions. The project is coordinated by a wonderful Action Synergy that we’ve had a pleasure to work with before.
I can describe the meeting in Athens as an “inspiring, creative buzz”! We have started very strong with intensive days of internal training that enabled us not only to become familiar with all the methods, but also to get to know each other and create bonds beneficial for the project and important for us personally. We have learned a lot, mostly hands-on and sometimes even out of our comfort zones 😊

Everyone was impressed with how many materials we managed to bring with us from Norway in a Waterpark’s suitcase which we internally call a “Monster” – always oversized and overweight! And it is always worth the effort!
Here we are with our MONTECH partners from the University of Girona – a great FUN to work together! Creative technologies are definitely one of our favourites…

We also got a chance to represent Waterpark Montessori at ACAδIMIA conference in the European Parliament Office in Athens. I think it was really important when Sarah talked about bringing Montessori into the future. Some Greek teachers had very positive comments about Montessori and technology.

So, hip, hip hurray for ACAδIMIA! We are proud to be a part of this project and we look forward to the next three exciting years!
